TOURS

Mile invites you to a one-day trip to Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. The Tricity is a unique and the most beautiful agglomeration in Poland, it is one of the most attractive regions of Poland in terms of tourism. It wells from the location of Tricity - between the shores of the Gdansk Bay and forest moraine hills, as well as the richness of material culture gathered here throughout the ages.

The trip begins with a stroll along the streets of the Main City from the Golden Gate (Brama Zlota), along Dluga street, the Long Fair (Dlugi Targ) (a possibility to visit the interiors of the Town Hall and the Artus Court) to the Green Gate (Brama Zielona). Then we shall walk along the Long Quay (Dlugie Pobrzeze) to the Crane (zuraw), a port crane of the medieval Europe, one of the most characteristic structures of Gdansk. Going along Mariacka street shall constitute a great opportunity to buy amber and souvenirs, and from there you will go to the Mariacka Basilica - the largest brick gothic temple in Europe. On the Solidarity Square (Plac Solidarnosci), in the place where the battle for freedom and democracy in the Central Europe began, you will see a Monument of Victims of December '70. Further the trip leads to Oliwa, where you will visit the Oliwa Cathedral and listen to an organ concert.

Our next stopover is Sopot, where we will take a walk along the pier and then to the Forest Opera, a place where every day an international music festival takes place.

From Sopot the route takes us to Gdynia, where we will visit two extraordinary ships - museums: SV "Dar Pomorza" and a warship "Blyskawica". Coming back, you will stop at the estuary of the Vistula river to see the monument commemorating the defenders of Westerplatte. It was erected in the place of war activities commencing the World War II and it has become one of the best known symbols of the Polish resistance against the German aggression.
